How to Find Your Bangle Size
1
Method A: Measure an Existing Bangle
Recommended — 99% accuracy in under 1 minute
Select a circular bangle from your collection that slips over your knuckles comfortably.
Lay the bangle flat on a hard, even surface next to a millimeter or inch ruler.
Measure straight across the inner diameter from inside edge to inside edge (do not measure the outer thickness).
Match your millimeter reading with our chart above (e.g. ~60 mm corresponds to Size 2.6).
Tip: Always measure across the widest center point of the inner circle for exact diameter.
2
Method B: Measure Hand Knuckles
Use if you don’t have a bangle handy
Fold your hand as if slipping on a bangle: bring your thumb and little finger together towards the center.
Wrap a flexible measuring tape (or a strip of paper) snugly around the widest part of your hand (across thumb base and knuckles).
Mark the point where the tape overlaps to obtain your Hand Circumference.
If using paper, measure the marked strip against a flat ruler and match against the Hand Circumference column.
Formula: Inner Diameter = Hand Circumference ÷ 3.1416.
Boutique Fitting Guidelines by Material
🌿 Traditional Glass Bangles
Glass has zero flexibility and cannot bend. If your measurement falls between two sizes (e.g., between 2.4 and 2.6), always size up to 2.6.
Pro Wearer Tip: Slip a thin plastic cover over your hand or apply a drop of moisturizer/talc when trying on snug glass bangles. They will glide on smoothly without strain or risk of breakage!
🌸 Valaikappu & Maternity Advisory
During the 7th to 9th month of pregnancy, expectant mothers often experience natural fluid retention in hands and wrists.
For ceremonial Valaikappu sets, we strongly advise ordering one size larger than pre-pregnancy size (e.g. choose 2.6 if usual size is 2.4) to guarantee relaxed all-day comfort.
✨ Silk Thread & Kundan Bangles
Handcrafted on high-grade acrylic bases with silk thread wrapping. The internal diameter matches standard Indian sizes exactly, while external Kundan stone work gives a rich, dense ceremonial appearance on your forearm.
👑 Openable Antique & Impon Kadas
Our Panchaloha (Impon) and antique kadas equipped with a side screw or hinge clasp do not need to pass over the knuckles. They only need to fit comfortably around your wrist, allowing for an elegant snug fit.

What size should I order for bulk Valaikappu return gifts?

Can I request mixed sizes in one ceremonial combo?
